Fair Invoice privacy policy Effective 11 October 2026. This policy covers the Fair Invoice app for iPhone and Android, developed by Shikher Verma. Questions: shikherverma42@gmail.com. The short version Fair Invoice collects no data. There is no Fair Invoice account and no Fair Invoice server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your business details, clients, items, invoices and estimates stay on your phone. They leave it only when you send them yourself (sharing a PDF, or emailing it from your own mail app), or when you turn on sync, which keeps a copy in your own iCloud or Google Drive. Sync is off unless you turn it on. Store purchases are handled by Apple or Google. What stays on your phone Your business details and logo, your payment details, your clients and saved items, your invoices and estimates, your settings, and whether you have unlocked unlimited invoices. These are kept in the app's private storage. Deleting an invoice, client or item removes it; deleting the app removes them all. One small counter, how many invoices you have created, is also kept in the phone's secure storage (the Keychain on iPhone, Google Play services Block Store on Android) so that reinstalling the app does not reset the 10 free invoices. It stays there when you delete the app, and that copy never leaves your phone (on Android it can move to a new phone if you transfer your data to it phone-to-phone). With sync on, the count is also part of the synced data, so the free invoices are counted across your devices. Reports are worked out on your phone from your invoices. A PDF, a backup, a CSV file or a report you export is written to the app's temporary storage and handed to the system share sheet. Where it goes from there (mail, messages, files, printing, another app) is your choice. A backup file contains everything listed above except the unlock and the counter's secure copy. If you back up your phone (iCloud Backup on iPhone, Google backup on Android), the backup may include the app's data. Those backups are run by Apple or Google under your account and settings, not by Fair Invoice. Email Email opens your own mail app (the system mail composer) with the PDF attached, your client's email address, a subject and a message from your templates in Settings. You see everything and can change it before you send it. The email is sent by your mail app, from your mail account; Fair Invoice does not send it, keep a copy of it or know where it went. On iPhone the system tells the app only whether you sent, saved or cancelled the email, so a draft can be marked as sent; on Android the app asks you. Fair Invoice does not track whether an email is opened. Without a mail app or account, the share sheet opens with the PDF instead. Sync (optional, off by default) Sync keeps your invoices the same on your own devices. It is off until you turn it on in Settings, and you can turn it off at any time. What is synced: your business details and logo, payment details, clients, saved items, invoices and estimates, numbering, page size and email messages, the count of invoices created, and a list of what you deleted (so that it is deleted on your other devices too). Each device keeps one file with this data, and the logo is a file of its own. The unlock is not synced: it comes from your store account. On iPhone and iPad, sync uses your own iCloud: the files are in Fair Invoice's folder in your iCloud Drive, which does not show in the Files app. Apple stores and moves them under your Apple Account. Only your devices signed in to that account can read them. On Android, sync uses a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive. Turning it on asks you to let Fair Invoice see, create and delete its own data in your Google Drive (the drive.appdata permission); it cannot see your other files in Drive. The app talks to Google directly from your phone: Google's sign-in gives it access, and the Google Drive API stores the files under your Google account, where they count towards your Drive storage. No server of Fair Invoice's is involved. iPhone and Android do not sync with each other; a backup file moves your data between them. Turning sync off stops it; the files stay in your iCloud or Google Drive until you delete them there. On iPhone: Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage (or Storage) > Fair Invoice > Delete Data. In Google Drive on the web: Settings > Manage apps > Fair Invoice > Options > Delete hidden app data. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover how they store your iCloud and Google Drive data. Contacts Contacts are used only when you tap "From contacts" to add a client, and only the contact you pick is used: its name, company, first email address, first phone number and first postal address are copied into your clients. On iPhone the system contact picker hands over just that contact and the app gets no access to the rest of your contacts. On Android the app asks for permission to read contacts the first time, and then reads only the contact you pick. Fair Invoice never reads your contacts in the background, never changes them and never sends them anywhere. Photos Photo library access is used only to choose your logo, through the system photo picker. Fair Invoice keeps its own resized copy of the picture you choose and does not change or delete your original. Network Fair Invoice itself makes no network requests, except for sync when you turn it on (see above). Payment links and payment QR codes (such as a SEPA bank transfer or UPI code) are text printed on your invoices, made on your phone from the details you enter; the app does not open or check them, and no payment goes through Fair Invoice. Purchases. The one-time unlock is bought and restored through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle the payment and tell the app whether you own the unlock. Fair Invoice never sees your payment details. Children Fair Invoice collects no data from anyone, including children. Changes If this policy changes, the new version will be published with an app update and the effective date above will change. Contact Shikher Verma, shikherverma42@gmail.com
