How to cancel an iScanner subscription

To cancel an iScanner subscription, first check who billed you, then use Apple Subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions or your iScanner website account. Cancellation is separate from requesting a refund, and installing Fair Scanner does not cancel your iScanner plan.

1. Find the billing route

Check the receipt before choosing a route. For Apple, search email for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple" and note the Apple Account. If there is no Apple receipt, check the payment statement for the billing company. Apple explains how to identify the subscription.

For Google Play, use the Google Account that holds the subscription. A website purchase must be canceled on the iScanner website, not in Apple or Google Play settings. Use the matching steps below, not instructions for a different scanner app. Google instructions. iScanner website instructions.

If the receipt shows a one-time charge and no renewal date, there may be nothing to cancel.

2. Cancel with the company that billed you

Apple: iPhone and iPad

Open Settings.
Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
Select iScanner.
Tap Cancel Subscription. Scroll down if necessary.

Apple says to cancel a free or discounted trial at least 24 hours before it ends. A family member must cancel their own subscription.

Apple: Mac

Open the App Store and click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, or click Sign In first.
Click your name on the next page. You may be asked to sign in.
Click Subscriptions, select iScanner, then Cancel Subscription.

Google Play: Android and computer

On Android, open subscriptions in Google Play with the purchasing account, select iScanner, tap Cancel subscription, and follow the instructions.

On a computer, open subscriptions in Google Play, click Manage for iScanner, click Cancel subscription, choose a reason, then Continue.

Uninstalling does not cancel a Google Play subscription. If iScanner is missing, confirm the purchasing account. Official Google Play instructions.

Sign in to the iScanner website.
Select your account name or email at the top right.
Open Subscriptions.
Choose Cancel, or the similar button beside the active plan.

Website terms require cancellation at least 24 hours before the billing period or trial ends. Cancellation applies to the next billing period. Canceling a website free trial loses Premium Features. Official iScanner subscription terms.

3. Keep cancellation, refunds and deletion separate

Removing the app, or deleting an iScanner account, does not cancel the subscription. It stays active where it was bought until you cancel there. iScanner app terms. Those terms also say App Store and Google Play subscribers should cancel at least 24 hours before a free trial or billing period ends to avoid the next charge. Premium features then remain for the rest of the period already paid. That is not a refund.

Request a refund separately: Apple, Google Play or iScanner's website policy. Approval is not guaranteed.

Save needed scans before deleting them, but do not miss an urgent cancellation to finish exporting. The export FAQ says to open a document, tap Share, choose PDF, then choose a destination. Open the saved copies. The free-tier table lists PDF/JPG/PPT export for five documents daily, so another app may be unnecessary. Do not assume the same access after cancellation.

Fictional example: route Apple; scans to save, "Grocery receipt" and "Tenants' letter." Leave cancellation and export unchecked until the biller status is confirmed and the saved PDFs open.

Optional: basic scanning without a recurring subscription

Fair Scanner includes every feature for the first 10 documents, then a one-time unlock. Deleting documents does not reset that allowance. It has no OCR and does not offer searchable PDFs, signing, merging, cloud sync or folders. On Android, the scanner component sends diagnostics and device identifiers to Google. Do not switch if you need a feature Fair Scanner does not offer.

FAQ

Does deleting iScanner stop the charges?

No. iScanner's app terms say removing the app or deleting the account does not cancel it. Google also says uninstalling does not cancel a Play subscription. Use the Apple, Google Play or website account that billed you.
